What we collect
- Sign-in: Google sign-in is handled by Supabase. We receive your email, name and photo URL. We use no cookies. Sign-in tokens are kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you log out.
- Chat: your messages and the replies are stored in our database, with no automatic deletion. Messages are sent to Groq to generate replies, and your messages are sent to OpenAI to match them to our content. Signed-out chats are tied only to a random id in your browser's local storage.
- Chat feedback: if you send feedback from the chat, we store your note, an optional follow-up email you type, and a summary of the conversation, and receive them by email.
- Votes: we store a keyed, one-way hash of your IP address to limit repeat votes, not the IP itself. If you type feedback with a vote, we store it and receive it by email.
- Messages to us (contact and reports): your message and your optional name and email, kept until 90 days after it is resolved, then deleted. No IP address is stored. If you give an email on a report, we email you an acknowledgement.
- Reviews you submit: your submission is checked with automated tools, including Anthropic's Claude and GitHub's API. If you publish, your randomly generated @handle appears on your public profile, and your photo only if you opt in. Your Google name is not shown. Your email is never shown. We email you about your submission.
- Browser storage: a chat session id, your votes, a saved submit-form draft and sign-in tokens, all in your browser only.
What we don't do
We use no analytics or advertising cookies and no tracking scripts.
Third parties
Railway (hosting) and Cloudflare keep server logs that include IP addresses. Supabase, Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub and Resend (email) process the data described above. Pages with a video load the YouTube player from youtube-nocookie.com without a click, so Google can see your IP address.
Your choices
To ask us to delete or correct your data, use the contact page. We cannot find signed-out chats by name, only by the random id. If you are in the EU or UK, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data and to complain to your local authority.
Changes
We will update this page and its date if this changes.
